Whether you’re a beginner or an experienced gardener\, you’ll walk away with valuable knowledge about the composting process\, soil health\, and practical tips to improve your own garden’s vitality. \nWhat You’ll Learn: \n\nComposting 101: How to make nutrient-rich compost from everyday organic materials.\nSoil Health: Why healthy soil is the foundation of a thriving garden.\nSustainable Gardening Tips: Practical advice on using compost to boost plant growth and reduce your environmental impact.\nPlus\, you’ll have the opportunity to get your hands dirty as we demonstrate the composting process in real-time!\n\nAll ages are welcome! This workshop is family-friendly and designed for people of all ages and experience levels. Whether you’re a budding young gardener or an expert in the field\, there’s something for everyone to learn and enjoy. \nThere is no charge for this outing\, which is made possible by the voters of Sonoma County who fund the work of Ag + Open Space with a quarter-cent sales tax. Sonoma Garden Park was protected by Ag + Open Space in November of 2011 for recreation and preservation of its natural resources\, and learning classroom environment for agriculture field trips for nearby elementary schools through Sonoma Ecology Center’s “Growing Discovery” program. The 6-acre property\, hidden in eastern Sonoma\, is an incredible public park and working garden site in Sonoma Valley\, home of a wide array of habitats alongside sustainably designed systems for both agriculture use and landscaping purposes.
