Our annual solstice exploration of resident and winter birds of Sugarloaf’s varied habitats, including birds inhabiting recently burned landscapes. Led by Certified California Naturalist Carolyn Greene, our emphasis will be on ID’ing birds by their sounds. This will be a 2-mile moderate walk with some uphill and lots of stops. We’ll meet at the Visitor Center. Bring face coverings, binoculars if you have them, and good shoes for rocky and uneven trails; we will observe safe distance walking. Parking fees apply; rain cancels.
