On Wednesday, September 14, join internationally renowned local author, musician, and scientist Bernie Krause for an acoustic presentation of his pioneering work in “soundscape ecology” at Ramekins Culinary School & Inn, Sonoma. 5:00pm Reception, 6:00pm Program. Presented by Sonoma Ecology Center.
The presentation will include Krause’s recordings made at Sugarloaf Ridge State Park over the past dozen years that have provided insights on how climate change is being expressed in the voices of the natural world. The recordings will be presented in high quality audio with images. After the presentation, the audience will be invited to participate in a question-and-answer period with Krause.
Krause’s new exhibit at the Cartier Foundation in Paris, “The Great Animal Orchestra,” has drawn acclaim from around the world, including the New York Times. Sonoma Ecology Center is delighted to bring this special program with him to our community.
