Join us on September 23rd for a Coastal Cleanup Day event along Sonoma Creek from 9:00 am-12:00 pm to make a crucial difference to our water system. Trash that flows into the ocean starts at creeks like our Sonoma Creek. Come with us on California Coastal Cleanup Day to remove harmful litter from our creek ecosystem.

About Coastal Cleanup Day: Coastal Cleanup Day began in 1986 in Texas, USA, and has since grown into a global movement. Coordinated and promoted by the Ocean Conservancy, a non-profit environmental advocacy group and in partnerships with communities worldwide, this day aims to promote environmental stewardship, community engagement, and the protection of our coastal resources. Here in Sonoma, let’s participate by cleaning our very own Sonoma Creek, home of the Chinook Salmon, which has reappeared in recent years.

All necessary cleanup materials will be provided. Just bring yourself! Please register below so we know how many people are coming. For questions, please email Cali at cali@sonomaecologycenter.org.

After the cleanup, we cordially invite you to participate in our Fall Equinox Celebration and Potluck at Sonoma Garden Park, 1:00-3:00 pm on the same day. Please register for the Fall Equinox social here.
