Join Sonoma Valley’s youth for our yearly MLK Day of Service at Nathanson Creek Preserve, where we’ll be picking up trash along the creek in order to give back to the community, clean up the watershed and make new friends in the process!

Volunteers will be meeting at 9 a.m. at the Nathanson Creek Demonstration Garden, located at the corner of East MacArthur Street and 2nd Street East. Please wear sturdy closed-toed shoes, dress in layers for different types of weather, and bring work gloves, a water bottle and a snack (plus a few extra trash bags if you have them).

Food and refreshments will be provided afterwards thanks to the generosity of Whole Foods.

The Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Service is a nationwide event that calls on Americans from all walks of life to work together on our nation’s most pressing social and environmental problems. The MLK Day of Service empowers individuals, strengthens communities, overcomes barriers and moves us closer to King’s vision of a healthy and cohesive community.
