As gardeners, how do you achieve a beautiful, cooling landscape that uses very little water and is fire resilient? At this special event Gardening with Climate and Water at the Center, we will grapple with this idea and discuss solutions, such as the use of native plants and designing a landscaping plan with the lay of the land. Participants will get a hands-on introduction to plants for various uses, such as xeriscaping, attracting pollinators, fire hardiness or adding color. You’ll leave ready to beautify a garden with water-wise California native plants. This workshop on Saturday, September 24 from 10:00 am – 12:15 pm includes a tour of the Native Plant Nursery, and a make-and-take native plant activity!

Thank you to the Open Space District for sponsoring this event!
