All bird enthusiasts welcome!

The Christmas Bird Count (CBC) is the largest citizen science annual event in the world, celebrating its 118th year. The Sonoma Valley count circle includes a highly diverse array of habitats, making it one of the finest inland counts in the United States, ranking in the top tier of counts every year. Expert birders, and counters, spotters, drivers, hikers all welcome. The all day count event is followed by a compilation dinner featuring a live tally and stories and highlights from around the count area. This year, we are very interested in seeing effects of the October fires on bird species distribution and numbers.
